Simon Glancy is Managing Partner of Strategic Solutions, an independent consulting firm that advises governments, international investors and financial institutions on doing business in Central Asia. The firm is local to the region with offices in Almaty and Tashkent.

Simon has advised mining clients in Central Asia since 2012 - with assignments including pre-deal due diligence, industry analysis and business development. In April 2025 Strategic Solutions completed an extensive report on business opportunities in Kazakhstan’s critical raw materials sector, commissioned by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Kazakhstan and RVO, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency.

In October 2025 Strategic Solutions was retained by EIT Raw Materials to assist in to develop a critical raw materials business intelligence network for Central Asia.
