Geological engineer, lawyer, MBA. Mr. Baimishev headed the state operator of geological information KazGeoInform.

He implemented EITI principles in Kazakhstan and was a member of its International Board.

From 2016 to 2022, working as Director of the Subsoil Use Department and then Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Investment and Development, developed and implemented the new Subsoil Code.

Since 2023 - President of the Kazakhstan Chamber of Mines.

Continued reform of Kazakhstan's mining sector. Expectations, realities, challenges.

The reform of the mining sector, associated with the adoption of the new Subsoil Code, has ensured the arrival of world leaders in the sector in Kazakhstan, a significant increase in investment in geological exploration, development of human resources and new technologies.

At the same time, last year's amendments to the legislation on related industries indicate the adjustment of priorities and tasks.

The Parliament is debating on the directions of further development of the sector.
